- Dragon Expectations are recited on the morning news each day. This serves as a reminder of what is expected of Avalon students while they participate in the learning process.
- Dragon Dollars
Students earn Dragon Dollars by following school wide Dragon Expectations. Students can purchase items from the school store.
- Classroom Kudos Charts
Classes work on getting kudos in Related Arts, cafeteria, playground and the hallways. When the class reaches their goal they are featured on the morning news and given a special incentive.
- Positive Referrals
Teachers and assistants write positive referrals for students who are following the school wide expectations and using good character traits.
- Champion of the Month
Each teacher chooses a champion of the month based on using their Dragon Expectations. Students have lunch on the stage with the staff members. They receive a certificate, ribbons, special pencils honoring their citizenship skills.
